The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building a strong and efficient workforce by managing HR operations, recruitment, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage the hiring process.
- Onboard new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Plan and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to ensure satisfaction and productivity.
HR Operations:
- Maintain and update employee records in compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Handle payroll, benefits administration, and performance reviews.
Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to enhance HR processes.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and organise development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Support career planning and professional growth for team members.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Specialist or in a similar role.
- Ability to build Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems).
Preferred:
- Experience working in a remote setup or with international teams.
- HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment laws.
